RAKSZ is Serena, Rivkah, Zahara, Desdemona, Tamra Henna, Aleah, and Magdalena - these talented dancers have come together to create an intoxicating blend of dance, entertainment, and art. Performing a wide variety of dance styles including classical belly dance, folkloric dances of the Middle East and Turkey, and modern fusion and fantasy dances, RAKSZ ignites the imagination and tantalizes the senses with vibrant color, electrifying rhythms, and hypnotic fluidity. Each RAKSZ dancer brings her exciting specialty to this group. In performance, RAKSZ may delight its audience with trays of fire, flashing swords, enchanting veils, golden wings of isis, and for the truly courageous, live serpents!

Combining extensive professional experience with years of intensive study in authentic Middle Eastern dances, as well as ballet and theatre, the RAKSZ dancers are exceptionally qualified. They have travelled, performed, studied, and taught throughout the United States and internationally in Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Morocco, Mali, Southern Spain, and the Caribbean. Continually sought after to bring their dynamic performances to a wide range of venues, some of their most recent appearances include the lavish David Valadez Christmas Art Festival, the NTMEDA Christmas Hafla, the State Fair of Texas 2008, and Daniel de Cordoba's Fall 2008 Flamenco Show. Individually, RAKSZ members can be enjoyed performing at Middle Eastern restaurants and clubs throughout Dallas and Fort Worth and have also been featured in commercially available belly dance DVDs and in movies.
